What makes Thanksgiving, Thanksgiving? Catching up with family? The food? Perhaps just having a day off? For me I am thankful for many things. I am thankful to have the basics - a house, food on the table, a great and patient husband and the undying love of my 3 cute dogs. I am still saddened by my dad passing away early this summer however thankful he is in a better place, not suffering with multiple ailments. I am also thankful my mom has had time to focus on her health and not put others first, but herself first. That is a lesson we all can learn and come back to from time to time. I am thankful to not just start a business just a few years ago, but have it thriving in a time when most businesses are not. Which leads me to being thankful to all the fans - new and old - of By the Bay Botanicals buying candles, bath teas and so on. I don't do it for the money. Crazy right? I do it because it is my dream. I have always been creative and involved in the arts before I even started elementary school. Seeing that the knowledge I have gained from that time to now has manifested in what I do now - which is still evolving - and people not just love it and buy it, but come back for more. That joy and sense of accomplishment is worth more than gold. This Thanksgiving I am going to soak up all the time I can with family, eat well, create new memories, and find some time to relax (maybe sleep in). I hope all who read this are able to do the same. Thank you and Happy Thanksgiving! - Michelle
